West Point.........GOLD

Just got this in today, had some BTC "FOAM" last week so ordered this up, believe it or
I am the owner of "ZERO" AGE Type 1.s be it in B/U or otherwise so thought i would
change that this time around.

An AGE Type 1 is not rare, the MS 70 grade helps on that but what really stands out is where it was struck, it was struck at the West Point Mint 2021 ( W ) this is a highly
desirable mint and of course a nice premium comes along with it, but when its time to sell my kids and grand kids should have no problem tripping that premium

Great looking chunk of gold, the label helps but where's the "W" under the date? I must be missing something!

 

There is none.

 

It’s a gimmick for people who don’t know much about graded coins….The only way to get the label is if it comes directly from a tube/monster box that came from the West Point Mint, the coin itself is indistinguishable from any other mint….It’s a nice coin but not worth the premium just for the label.

 

In other words, it's just bullion.

Yeah I thought as much, a bit of a ripoff from the US Mint but under the link I went to they say that all bullion and Proofs get the "W" mm. Wiki must have been written their information in 2006 but they're wrong today.

which it makes a way more desirable peace
when it comes time to sell or when the grand
kids do.

 

The ( W ) stands for West Point as that
Is where it was minted, so now yiur not
missing anything…LOL

I have noticed some that don’t have the W
in the title though nor do they have a W
mint mark, but either way the coin was
struck at the West Point mint and that’s
why I bought it, several mints strike this
coin but being there makes all the difference
less population more value, for what it’s worth

There is no W mintmark on your coin. So you're saying you bought the label, not the coin? And that's going to change it from bullion to numismatic creating a premium? Apparently only when you're buying it. Won't be the same when selling it. Maybe your grandkids will see that happen. I highly doubt it though.
