One case where Crisp Uncirculated is NOT desirable.

Unless of course you're into that sort of thing, I guess.

I'm guessing that, with the markets moving as they presently are, most are using TP faster than they can replace it.

I'm not a stock market guy, but the stock market's been divorced from reality for years, especially since 2008. I think it's related to the buy/sell algorithms. Any nefarious stuff aside, the algorithms make the market be pretty artificial, in my opinion.

I have been investing for over 40 years. Rode out the 1987 crash, the dot.com crash early 2000s, financial collapse of 2007, and I will ride out the bear market that started at the beginning of this year. In all of those, I witnessed the weak hands always bail out at the market bottom and miss out on the subsequent recovery. Investor behavioral psychology is a fascinating thing to watch.

As I understand it, big swings also trap a lot of heavily leveraged "investors" (speculators). That's one reason I've never been tempted by leverage. Sure, it means I've missed opportunities that would've made me a lot richer. I've also missed "opportunities" that would've bankrupted me.

FB opened at $191, closed at $207 and change. Would've been a great morning to buy more FB.

GOOG went from $2495 to $2555. (Edit: typo, it closed at $2655.)

PYPL went from $94.50 to $105, over a 10% increase. (Of course, it's still off nearly 2/3 from its high back in July.)

I wasn't convinced that this morning's market pessimism was well-founded, but I'm even less convinced that this afternoon's euphoria is well-founded.

Well, bring some of them home. And, hey, lots of job creation, rebuilding all the stuff that got blown up.
