Pulled the trigger today and had my stock account set aside, after 3 weeks of steady
declines due to Russias imminent invasion, my advisor at Merrill Lynch didnt even try
and talk me out of it, like he normally does, thats how I know it was the right decision
but still on board with BTC and PM,S so those departments are going pretty good.

Going to set it out until the situation improves, then will go back in, not sure how
    long that will be however.

I sold out several profitable stock positions today, along with one loser that simply was jinxed from the get-go. I also opened an oil company position. I’ve been selling into strength for a few weeks now and the prices I got, I’m happy to report, were much higher than current prices. I’m either good or lucky. LOL

Of course, the trick now is to figure out when to start getting back in. But the way things are going, it’s not an immediate concern, if you get my drift.

Bitcoin ain’t my thing — sorry mpcusa — but gold is in my equation.

All of my stocks are blue chip stocks with plenty of cash and little reliance on Eastern Europe for success.

    Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc.,

It’s true they all do business in Eastern Europe but they can still make a profit even in rough times.

However I did sell some of my riskier stocks (bye bye Virgin Galactic!) to buy shares of Barrick Gold (a Buffet holding) and Sierra Metals.

If the price of PMs go up the companies mining them will make more money when they sell.

Sierra Metals recently acquired a mine in Peru with an estimated 48,000 troy oz of gold and 21 million troy oz of silver.

But the rich copper ores are where it makes most of the revenue.

Anyway just sharing my own opinion :)

Most of that is due to the Fed’s inability to handle rampant inflation than it is the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Inflation last year was 7% and it’s not slowing down. The target rate is 2%.

However rampant inflation is exactly what people who buy gold & silver have been preparing for.

Precious metals prices will go up with the inflation rather than cash which loses value due to inflation.

At a 7% annual inflation rate like last year it means every $1,000 that someone has saved can now only buy them what $930 could last year.

Not surprised about the stock market being down at all, bitcoin is down as well, sitting at $35,416 right now with further drops expected! I'm hoping PM's move upward in a bigger way but we'll see! :) I just checked and gold is at $1946, not bad! :D

Silver just broke $25 for the first time in a while. As far as % gains silver has made a bigger move upward than gold.

Bit coin is a suckers game! You be better playing 3 card monte on the streets of NYC with your money.
    Watch...watch whats going to happen...
With the Russians, China ,and that turd in north Korea heavy in bit coins....watch...
China is sitting like boa at a watering hole....waiting to see if it can get away with using the Russian play book.
North Korea also hasnt had any attention and wanting some...

All have large holdings all will be crippled when we take bit coins down....its only a few key srokes in cyber warfare....to do so...much faster than any blockade or other economics means of cutting off their cash flow.

I guess just a wait and see approach, not sure how effective sanctions will be
    but only time will tell.

Whith the constant threat of war, which is the main focus here, you cant have growth as long as that exists, and the question is when is it going start ?
I am just going to wait it out, when that is gone will get back in :)

There are a lot of things causing the market to drop IMO! One of the main ones is the fact we are no longer energy independent!! Why are we buying something as important as oil from our enemy? This is in turn causing inflation which also makes the market nervous! Just two issues! There are many more!!!

The bombs are dropping in the Ukraine.
Watch out for China to invade Taiwan within a short timeframe too. They won't let a good war go to waste. :(

I've got some dry powder, and I may be doing some bargain-hunting in equities soon. If PM prices go up further between now and the next local show, I may sell some more.

I'm not planning to sell stocks right after they've plunged and buy PMs right after they've spiked. If stocks stay low for a few years, and PMs stay high for a few years, you can all come back to point and laugh at this post. :)
