But do your DD and make sure you have a solid rationale for believing what you do.

Solid rationale, is learning the system and profiting on it, simple as that
its not rocket science though some in this room may lead you to believe it is
the bottom line is profit or loss, I am way in the green when it comes to BTC ;)

You are day trading BitCoin . . . a practice not recommended to anyone who has neither the time nor the energy needed to avoid the pitfalls associated with frequent trades of volatile assets. That you do it with apparent success does not mean that anyone else should necessarily expect the same results.

I personally think it is a disservice to put such ideas in their heads.

Only offering my results as what could be for others, its there choice
if they want to enter that arena, but there's allot of people casting doubt
as well, so what ever that's worth.

The term is “in the black” and you have told us over and over and over again how great your system is without telling us what your system is or offering any sort of proof it works.

Buying Bitcoin in 2020 isn’t a system and from where we all sit all you did is buy in 2020 and cash some of your profits out.

    Stay humble.

You're right, it's not rocket science. It's hindsight.

In hindsight, buying at $10000 or $1000 or $100 or $0.01 and hodling was brilliant. Buying at $60K? The jury's still out.

If anyones making their financial decisions based off this thread, this forum, what random people post on the internet etc I have no sympathy if they make poor choices. People can claim whatever they want, I could say I bought it when it was 200 blah blah blah and no I dont believe every claim of success is truthful

That said no matter how much you dislike it its not going anywhere. Miami will pay employees in it if they want, Colorado now accepts its for state taxes/fines/bills to the state, CA is about to make it legal tender and so on and so on

If the Feds make it illegal or the FRB comes out with a digital dollar currency, well.....

Also, if the value of BitCoin plunges during a time when payments are made with it and the value of the revenue in $$$ goes down, some politicians will learn their voters may hold them to a "fidiciary" standard. :D

FRB digital currency will be a failure other than pump and dump, the whole point is it not being tied to a governmental currency.

There’s countless things that are illegal federally that states ignore and nothing is done about it.

So far BitCoin acts just like a high-valued tech or growth stock, or one of the FAANG stocks.

It's not stable, it is highly volatile, and it has nothing behind it. It may go up to $100,000 in 2 years -- or down to $5,000 again.

I have no idea. Nothing I learnd in graduate school or CFA courses help me value it.

That's kinda the point though where you cant have some algorithm manipulate it by valuations. What it has behind it is the limit that will take massive improvements in technology to even reach that. Its true though that money is backed by military power

I've said before I wouldn't touch it at new highs and there were/are periods where stocks were/are a much better play, but it very likely will work out if someone wants to hold it for years.

I think I can do better elsewhere and pretty sure I did, but all the nonsense of people just saying the same things for years and years is just that.

Here's the deal...consider me Mr. Oversimplification...
Bitcoin isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Some of us predicted out loud (in crypto forums) that as crypto slowly got intermingled with real life assets and functionality that it would also start to be influenced by what major economies are doing (especially the USD) which is actually a touch ironic since the concept of Bitcoin was to not have it actually tied to any centralized fiat economy.

Pro-tip...it's already clearly following the U.S. economy somewhat.

My approach to choosing cryptos has been to have some of the larger stable ones like Bitcoin and Etherium and a handful of sometimes somewhat educated guesses based on things like how much a particular coin is getting mentioned a lot according to search analytics, who is offering the crypto and some credibility factors (likelyhood of a "rug-pull" but that's a whole other topic)...

About half my crypto hodlings have outperformed my 401k for the last two years (except for the Nvidia stock I bought at about $50 a share in 2018 :joyful:). But I put my actual investing/retirement money into my 401k and stocks.

I don't put more into crypto than I would put into my coin collecting, it's modest and safe for my budget and always has been. I've always been in the crypto mindset that I need to be able to 100% loose that money in order for it to be both fun and a challenge...just like my poker tournaments.

May I submit for your pro-tip approval...a 1 year scale of global crypto vs. NASDAQ. Tell me they don't look a bit similar :writer::wideyed:
