    Yeah I’m down 20%. :(

Most of my stocks are pretty blue chip though. Like Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc., so fortunately they have so much cash on hand they can thrive for years even with horrible business.

And I thought I was Greedy Threat of a conflict and your worried about your pocketbook losing some cash. I was more worried about loss of life of any and all Americans. I don't know how you prepare for such an event but it's here now. Everybody is flexing right now getting ready for a peaceful outcome....OR NOT. long as it doesn't go nuclear. your hand is dealt. all in

Even BASEBALL TONIGHT on MLBN is down to 30 minutes from an hour, which means it re-runs 2x as often ! :D

You mean you need strong hands to buy/hold stocks right now ? I agree.

Why don't you like PMs at this point ? If anything, with the Ukraine situation...and with inflation not abating (yet)....I think gold and other PMs are neutral-to-positive.

Since when did "nuke" mean only fusion? ;) Little Boy and Fat Man both used nuclear fission, as do most contemporary warheads, as both an initiator and a booster. So do "nuke plants" (electric generating plants using nuclear fission as their source of heat). No fusion nuke power plants yet, although we're working very hard at it.

All the war/weapon documentaries I have watched used "Atomic" for fission and "Nuclear/Thermonuclear" for fusion.

    But I see your point.

Yeah, the stuff I've read and seen never made that distinction, or at least never emphasized it. Both have to do with atomic nuclei; one just splits them, the other jams them together (after and before splitting others).

When the supermarket puts paper towels on sale for 15% off, do you return the ones you bought earlier at full price, or do you stock up? ;)

Yeah, when you try to return that, they get all particular about how much is left on the roll...

But I have to have TP in the house. I need it. I don't need to buy stocks or financial assets -- I can wait it out.

You can't wait out TP. :D
