This is one of those moments where if you purchased directly from the US Mint you ask yourself... should I sell!?

I'm still stuck on why the proof is more than the unc?
I won't sell the proof but if the unc moves to the 5 figure realm... SOLD!

my prediction for 2008w AGB unc 1/2 oz gold could hit $2,000.00 soon. and its proof 1/2 oz. gold should be $2,200.00. while the 1/4 and 1/10 should be stable. since those up a lot already.

okay could somebody run by me why I'd want this coin w/ two (PEOPLE) on front again for $7000? :eek:dd: Im sure there are much better ways to spend that kind of money than on a coin that nobody has a clue about.

Hey FlyGuy, where are you getting that $7k figure from? I never saw a price/value for that coin. I like the coin, but I rather have a buffalo any day.:thumb:

that marcos coin contained 2.21 oz of gold at .900 fineness. or 1.989 oz of pure gold. it was a frosted proof minted from the franklin mint during 1977. i think only few thousand pieces minted.

the amount that i mentioned are for 4 pc 2008w AGB unc set at over $6,000.00. and 4 pc 2008 AGB proof set at over $7,000.00. while the marcos proof might be cost that much. it contained almost 2 ounces of pure gold. i really don't know the price for marcos. i can check it.

Oh I'll sell of a heck of alot of other gold coins I have before I sell this set! And again kicking myself in the ( ! ) for sending back to the mint the 4 coin proof set that I had ordered. Hinde sight is always 20/20. I would of never thought that this series would of been dumped by the mint. OMG one of this country's best design loved by just about every collector I have talked to......Go Figular!

I know what you are saying about kicking yourself Paddy. Last year when cash flow was good, I ordered both the UHR and the 2 coin Prosperity set. Then, suddenly cash got tight and I had to make a choice to cancel one of the two sets. I ended up canceling the Prosperity set. Who would have thought that the Prosperity set would have done as good as it has. If I had bought that, I could have resold it today and bought a UHR ......basically free!!! :computer:
