I've been slowly changing my collection around trying to get more bullion and less numismatic coins in my collection. I mean I love my gold coins but most are numismatic coins and as far as selling them goes, I wouldn't sell many of them at all. How about your gold coins, is most of your gold collection numismatic gold coins or bullion?
mine is Numismatic but half is damaged (holed, love token, bent, ect) so I guess you'd call them Bullion in the damaged catigory.
I started into bullion when I was in my 20’s, and very gradually worked my way into common date numismatic gold in my middle thirties. From there, I decided to shed duplicates and buy diverse dates moving forward.
Bullion, bullion , bullion ! and that’s been allot lately thanks to BTC will be heading to my local LCS tomorrow to finish out the year with 11 OZ of gold hoping they have a correct date Kruger if not may go with a Buffalo, not real crazy about the design however but will see
Yeah, I'm thinking it will take me quite awhile to accumulate gold bullion as I don't see the price of gold going down anytime soon. I may be wrong but I don't think the price of gold will go below $1500 for 3 to 5 years minimum and for all anyone knows it may stay over $1700 for quite awhile! With our new unhealthy world status we are into an area never before ventured!
my gold used to be low mintage foo foo stuff, but lately I have been just getting maples and original double eagles. LCS always seems to be full of nice pre 1933, much of it ungraded
The majority of mine is pre-1933 gold coins. Nothing with a high premium, but still more interesting than bullion since it has some history.
