Just commenting about 2008 w burnished buffalo in coin section

Noticing the prices going up on coins, and especially those. At Apmex crazy 5K for the coin.

Coins that were 2500 a year ago are now 3500.00, yet Gold was still at 1800 or near it.
1 year makes a difference ? not really in the life of a 2008 coin, but premiums all around going up.
Even my local here for eagles (any date) normal not graded, but nice are 32$ a piece vs 22 spot. They have the 2021s at ridiculous prices of 40/per. Even standard bullion coins at 28 6$ over spot.

Gold is doing the same thing and think we might finally be getting short on time. Of course I have been waiting since 2018 for reality to sink in,

Here again a bullion coin over priced
paying 2 to 3 times what it’s worth
good luck trying to get that premium

You seem to have difficulty understanding the difference between numismatic and bullion coins

 

No trouble at all, putting a buffalo in a holder and repackaging it to make it something else or special but the bottom line bullion coin, you can call it
what you will.

 

Last I checked all 2008 gold buffalos are considered rare as they have low mintages. 2008 is the only year that has smaller denominations, maybe that's what sets the year apart, idk. You should see what the 1/10ths sell for, the prices are mega crazy high and it's always been that way!

 

The Buffalo was never made to be bullion.....words have meaning, the buffalo was made for hobbyists, not investors.

I would put in to the argument that sense the mint needed a .9999 fine gold coin
as investors demanded a higher gold content that this is considered a bullion
coin, you can find these all day long raw for around $1,900.

 

Not possible on 2008's at all. 2008 Buffalo ouncers sell for a tad more, than any other date because of the mintage.

 

To me a buffalo is a buffalo dont really care about the date unless its a Krugerrand
but here again very low mintages on some years, I mean really low ! lucky for me my LCS doesn't charge a premium, cant say the same for flea bay...LOL
