I opened one of unopened packages of mine and found 14 silver ounces. I still have a large number of unopened items and some of them contains more sealed packages. These are all from the Sunshine Mining Company in Idaho. They are .999 fine 1 Oz. rounds. The obverse is the obverse of the famous Walking Liberty design. The reverse a bit different. It’s similar to a Kennedy Half Dollar reverse but with some changes. In the center of the reverse, on top of the eagle and the top part of the shield is the security feature. Very much like the paper money issued today. I can’t pick it up with my cell phone as you must move it from side to side to see this feature. It is micro engraved and almost appears like a hologram. I have photos of two obverse and they picked up a nice golden/reddish tone.
Nice, haven't seen any in the raw yet but they look good enough for sure, especially with the security feature!
Nut do you ever open one of those packages from years past and wonder why the hick you boughten it or do you remember each?
After I open it and see what it is I, for the most part, remember buying it. Only a rare few have I totally forgotten about.
