The 2022 Kookaburras have arrived and mine flew in this past week. Over the years I've accumulated all of the 1 ounce issues and this type remains the only 1 ounce silver coin I still buy every year - mostly because I'm partial to Kookaburras.
I miss the early morning sounds of a riot of Kookaburras. The birds here in the US are quiet, comparatively speaking.
Ohh nooooooo. Absolutely not! Beautiful coins, but noooo to the cackle. Is it 2022 Down Under already? New Years isn't for another five weeks here in the states.
Come out to my neck of the woods and hear the sounds of whiney, privileged, self indulged, overly eccentric people. I would welcome the sound of a 'Kook'......
Lol.. When you've grown up with them all around it's actually really nice. Before moving here in 2016 there used to a riot of around 6 Kookaburras on the light pole a lil bit up the street. They'd start before first light. Was a lovely sound to awaken to. Looks like The Mint is ahead of itself, unlike some other Mint we know locally...
LOL you can keep your peeps any day. I miss the sound of the Kookaburras, Cockatoos, King Parrots, Whip and Cat Birds and Butcher Birds. Their music was a melodic and welcoming start to each day. I was living right next to a National Park where the place abounded with wildlife.....
Indeed! Nothing like carrying an 8ft python over the road into the forest after it had feasted on a couple of baby chicks and decided to nap in the chicken coop to sleep off its meal, or remove spiders as big as your hands from inside the house cos the gals were scared.. I LOVED that place. The things you do for love...
LOL I am Australian, I lived there all my life until 2016 when I moved to the USA to marry me a Texan Lady
Yessir, that is Generally the case. Are you not an American? Most would Never call themselves a Yank....
They should be. And now (God save you) you're one of us..........you married a Texan, and everyone knows, ya don't mess with Texas. For enlightenment, just ask the wifes' family........
