Time to buy commodities and real estate, that's what Lyn Alden says! Yes, silver and gold are always good to own but to buy at today's prices? Not this time around, not for me anyway. Gold just dropped $10 an ounce from yesterday! Gotta be pretty sure you're gonna be able to flip at a profit and I just don't see it. Online prices are crazy high!! What about you, have you bought lately??

Yep, just closed on some nearby warehouse space, now all I have to do is fill it with pallets of toilet paper and We. Are. SET.

 

I wish Realtors would learn that non-Realtors do not answer Text messages, asking if I would like to sell @ what is now over twice the 10-15 years ago when purchased. You will have to talk to me !!! sorry, it bugs the H out of me. Jim

Warehouse rentals around me are at a ridiculous price, so looking at shipping containers as an option

My middle son does real estate for a living here in Las Vegas and it’s booming
low inventories mean it’s a sellers market
many properties go for up to $50k over
asking, and there’s no end in sight when
your making 30k plus on average you
don’t ask why, he just sold a home last
week in the million dollar range and his
commission will be 52k !!

As far as what I am buying, bought another house just waiting for escrow
to close, and always buying gold as
part of the foam from BTC, also buying
some tech stocks and increasing by
holdings in Tesla, Hertz has already
ordered thousands of vehicles and
many other rental car companies are
far behind, so I think a really good
choice, my son just ordered the y model
dual motor with x wing doors, it will
be ready for pic up in March ! $111K
has the self driving mode.

 

You can hoard gold, food, bungwipe etc and buy property etc. But remember all is worth naught at the point of a gun.

 

Just have a big safe to put it all in

Went to the State Fairgrounds this morning for the big (OK, medium-sized) coin show. This same weekend, the Fairgrounds also hosts a gems and jewelry show, and a Franchises show, and a gun and knife show. No paper-products show as far as I know.

 

I read an interesting piece a few weeks back. The gist of the thing was a fellow in his thirties was seeking financial advice. The take away from the piece was that all the financial advisors he sought out were “old people” that didn’t see things as he saw them….. I believe the young folks these days will mold what the future investment world looks like in way that is old guys cannot even imagine.

 

I'm sick of all the calls and text. They even got my wife's number. There are people out there teaching others how to search county records for those with several houses. Once they find you they sell your information and the harassment begins.

 

In the 60's, Mad Magazine had a great panel on collecting Belly-Button Lint.

People have been collecting it for years.

I think it is now time to get it onto the Commodities Market, including Futures Trading.

Excellent source of bedding, batting, insulation, etc. Continuous supply.
