[ View attachment 1382363 View attachment 1382364 ADDITIONAL CELEBRATION, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND ACCOLADES are due in honor of Lord Marcovan's photography skillz as well . . . .
Rob, it's been a long time since I've met anyone as generous and thoughtful as you are and I'm proud to call you my friend! I've witnessed many acts of your kindness on the forum, not to mention your fostering of needy kitties...you're amazing!
Yes you must be om the parade route by 8 am ready to help blow up the balloons! And one other warning about Abercrombie grading juice! Remember that a gallon of his juice is sent in with every monster box of ASE's that Modern coin Mart sends into a TPG! Thats how MCM gets so many 70's out of one box. Yet Randy's "still" producing" high" proof's . too....
Also dont forget the bacon....as the other white meat will be dropped in lue of ticker tape. Bacon is environmental friendly as we won't need a street sweeper after the event. That's correct a bacon tape parade just for you Rob.
All this talk of my favorite breakfast protein is bacon me hungry. Wishing our celebrant as much happiness as he has brought us. Thank you .
Theres a small bacon protest going on but Law enforcement has it under control......the chief of police said something about a pork bbq for lunch..... And Randy I do love lunch!
Oh look its Hoda and Savannah from the morning show...waiting to interview Rob.... God bless they made sure they were here to get a good spot on the parade route.
A well-deserved honorific to the Prince of CoinTalk! Enjoy your day, @lordmarcovan Here's a type of coin I know we both like: EGYPT, Alexandria. Hadrian year 11, CE 126/7 billon tetradrachm, 26 mm, 12.6 gm Obv: AVTKAITPAI AΔPIACEB; laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind Rev: L ENΔ EKATOV: Canopus of Osiris right Ref: Emmett 827.11, R3; Milne 1205
I also got some of those cool elongated cents from Mr. Generous as a bonus with some superhero silver I purchased for my nephew. I'm renowned for my terrible photography, so here's some that ICG took for me, sticking with the SLQ theme. Now what are we day drinking to celebrate RS Day? Mimosas?
Don't forget folks the celebration last all day and night, Dinner at 6 pm menu giant turkey legs, dirty rice, butter beans, and grits.....for us... yankees mashed potatoes & gravy with a side of Spam....mmm mmm good ! Bonfire at 730 pm followed by fireworks.... at 9pm.
This specimen now a part of Lord M's collection will be in an article published in Error Scope Magizne.
Funny you should mention ‘possums. Yesterday evening we returned from our short NC mountain vacation trip. The night before we left, we found that a young ‘possum had gotten into the yard somehow and been killed by the dogs. Upon our return yesterday, we noticed a bad smell by the driveway and found two more dead ‘possums. You see, the dogs had gotten out of the fence during our absence, when our relief zookeeper was away. The neighbors rounded them back up. It seems they (the dogs) wanted to get at the other critters so bad, they’d pushed their way through a weak spot in the fence (which is a patchwork job after repairs from Hurricane Matthew). Then the dogs had themselves a little killing spree. Mother Nature can sure be a harsh mistress sometimes. I guess we’ve got to stop putting cat food on the ground, and inadvertently luring the ‘possums into a death trap. Poor things suffer enough from roadkill fatalities as it is. Unsurprisingly, yours is nicer than mine. That’s one of my best “holeys” now. Thanks. And thanks for all this, @Paddy54, though it was really a bit too much. Anyone would enjoy seeing a thread like this in their honor- and I did, thoroughly- but now, having received one, I’m more than a little bit embarrassed by all the fuss and fanfare. OK, the parade’s done, now, folks- it’s October 26th. “LordM Day” is over. As you were- resume normal forum activities. But hey, anybody wanna stay a little while and help me sweep up all this confetti? Pfft! I think some of it even got in my mouth. Have to be careful it doesn’t go to my head.
Check your calendar @lordmarcovan , today is the 25th and the fun and excitement is just beginning. Eat some of that pork BBQ. Be sure to use the bacon as it is meant to be, a condiment. Few things can bring as much joy to one's taste bud's as a pulled pork sammich topped with 4 or 5 strips of bacon . Bon appetite my honored one.
Rob No it was long over due! Every word, by all the members here is the truth, and everyone in this hobby should know Roberson W Schnnick....as a pillar of numastics.
