100 % agree, I never get bullion coins graded today that exact reason, as it’s almost impossible to get those premiums back, kind of a special circumstance here however.
not blood money but just another way to part suckers with their cash, doesn't matter where or who as long as they can get suckers to buy into it
I would argue that this statement doesn't really apply to this coin. The whole point of the label is to authenticate the historical context of this coin. Without that provenance...this is just a normal bullion coin. While it might be that to some, it's not to others. The history has value to some people...which is not how most slabs are.
Ground zero Gold is hardly trivial, the significance of the coin itself being in the ruble of the worst disaster in American history speaks for itself.
Obviously to some you're correct. Also obviously, to others not so much. Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry.
I totally agree with you. For me personally, this doesn't appeal to me. Although interesting, the market premium doesn't make it worth it to me. But, I can understand how it does to some...and how the market drives the price as a result. What I struggle to understand is how some people here struggle to understand this concept.
Isn't there 2 types of WTC holders. Some with ### of ###? I'd prefer that type, BUT it's your money...spend spend spend, you'll make more. What did the seller say when you offered $2000? Offer 2001.
I wouldn't buy it, I had a WTC American Silver Eagle, years ago, sold it a year or so later! The novelty wears off quicker than you think. Your choice!
To be clear I am considering it, I like the concept however the year itself os not that appealing, believe it or not allot of years are very tough, most are in the mid 70,s these would be the random date coins you would get AMEX or JM Bullion, I am riding my search most difficult !!
Absolutely 100% agree with the above. That's why I posted: However, look at the title of your thread, and your initial post. You're specifically asking for the opinions of others to help you determine what you're going to buy. This is the part that I'm confused with. Why ask for anybody else's opinion for something you'd be buying? Why would their opinions matter?
