Ugly coin ! your opinion not mine ! I think its a great looking coin myself and
always brings a better premium when you sell.

Enjoy your edited Krugerrands. I'll take St Gauden's or Buffalos any day of the week.

I grew up as a kid with maple trees in our yard so I have a sentimental value towards the Canadian Maple. The Buffalo would be next.

Just because there’s more Krugerrands in circulation than any other gold coin doesn’t make them the most popular, just means they have been around a long time.....the majority of krugerrands have an 1/11th of an ounce of silver in them making them look dull.

I personally like libertads, followed by pre 33

Your countries own coins are always the most liquid. The AGE would be the choice for americans if you're only getting one

I will, but for me its always been the Kruger, especially for the international
investor that doesn't trust the US economy, and now more then ever !
but we all know what that means !

    Poll coming up...LOL

I do not mean to attack posters personally, but the amount of misinformation going around this board is a bit scary considering the money involved in these coins and the fact that newbies do research here.

.999 American Gold Eagles and now Krugerrands with silver in them? And these things are being posted as if they are hard facts. No "I think..." or "I'm pretty sure..." or "Can someone confirm that..."

    The facts:

    AGE: .9167 Au, .0300 Ag, .0533 Cu.
    Krugerrand: .9167 Au, .0833 Cu.

This is basic information that is easily found. If someone is spending thousands of dollars on metals, I really hope they know the characteristics of the pieces they are buying. Yeah we all get taken by a curveball at some point (like those ".24 Pure" cook islands turds), but these are common and popular coins.

Oh, and on topic, I like shitty Krugerrands. :)
