I have been trying to find a reasonably priced 1/10 MexicanGold Libertad, as a matter
of fact one at all, dont want a graded example as the premiums are double even
triple of the BU,s plus I am not a big fan of graded bullion to begin with, so why are
    they so expensive ?

The answer is easy, the populations are just "Stupid" low and this goes for most years
    2000 and moving forward 1/10, 1/4, 1/2. 1 OZ.

I found this chart online which goes over the low populations, I just bought a 2015
BU for $300, figure thats a decent deal, will post when I get it.

Is there any difference in value based on the mintages?

    Or, does anyone care?

I will ask my banks next time I go to Mexico. They normally sell 1oz libertads, though I doubt they sell gold due to the low mintages.

Personally I prefer the older gold coins made by Mexico as they are nicer IMO and usually have lower premiums. But that is just my preference.

Easy answer, yes if something is harder to get of course the price goes up
I new the 1/10 OZ was rare, but I never realized how rare until I wanted
    to but one...LOL

    Hello Group,
Not sure if this is germane to the conversation but when gold was selling for around $900+/ounce I decided to put together a complete set of Mexican 50 peso Centenarios. I purchased most of the set through the Northern Nevada Coin dealership buying all NGC MS-63s with a few 64's and 1-MS-65 (My birth year).
The 3 lowest mintages were only slightly over the usual price of $1300..The 1st year 1921 being the highest at $1500. The lowest mintage (89,000) and 1 year type 1943 I paid only $1300?? I wanted one raw coin to 'handle' so at the Houston Money Show a 'good-guy' dealer I knew sold me a 1947 restrike
for $1100. I even surprised myself with this investment..Who's that guy?

    Hello C-Nut,
If you don't want to spring for a large hunk-O-cheese, the 20 peso Aztec calendar
is a real nicely designed 1/2 ounce BF6B5583-6F4A-4D52-813E-6E3310DE05BD_1_201_a.jpeg

Yes, there's a big difference. I have a 2018 1/10th, only 1500 minted, the 2020 any denomination is really low, most being 700 total, I think that's for every size but I'm not certain. All I know is collectors of these are insanely picky! The pic below looks terrible because it's behind plastic, only when I feel like selling will I remove it and take a better pic! :D

That's because of the low LOW 250 mintage for 2020.

    Too rich for me.

To bad it so expensive, a 1 oz Libertad will cost you a boat load of cash
ven the 1/10 oz are pretty hard to come buy, huge premiums !!

I'm not a big baller like JT but I did manage to get a nice 1943 a few years back for $1300.
Wish I had a truck load at that price point today.
a full set would be nice but I've never really been a set collector.
I liked the 43 being a one off year.
Picture is off a bullion site.
If your going to twist my arm, I'll have to dig deep in the pile to find it. 3d_front_8_71.jpg
