It’s one of the Grumpy Old Men, Grumpier Old Men or Out To Sea. I can’t remember which but all 3 of them are great movies.
In another movie he tells Murray he's gonna tell his wife he's in the park and wearing a dress..........guess that one.
Better pic's would help. I have a California commemorative in MS condition. They are well designed and of good value. Good luck.
In some aspects it’s better than the grumpy movies. Bret Spiner, Data for Star Trek the Next Generation is also in it and he’s excellent. I also love all the movie mistakes in all three.
Nice looking coin, I think it would get a straight grade, but that's not needed unless you want to sell it, some buyers prefer that.
No need to apologize…you are just echoing many other members who hesitate to become the grammar cop…otherwise, you could be correcting posts all day, every day…LOL!…Spark
Welcome to Coin Talk. When I looked at the name you're using I had to watch Merry Go Round on YouTube
I will have to try and locate that one. Sounds interesting. Thank you, Scott. I think I will hang on to it for a while. I will take that. Thank you for your thoughts.
I told him the same thing in an early post Spark. No need to apologize. I'm usually on my game with grammar, but I did slip up and he let me off with a nice warning.
Very good information. I was left this coin and it was in a plastic flip top. I have not cleaned it; however, I do not know what was done to it before I received it. The only way to really know would be to have an expert look at it. Regardless, it's a beautiful coin and I plan on holding on to it. Thank you so much for helping me understand the system. I may not want to get my hopes up if I take any coins in to be looked at.
Easiest thing to do would be to stop in to a coin shop, and have someone there look at it for you. They can tell you if it has been cleaned or not. They're going to tell you it has been cleaned, but the question is; was it cleaned to a point that damaged the coin or it's value? A nearly 100 year old coin has (typically) at some point in it's life been cleaned, but there are market-acceptable cleanings, and then there are cleanings that render a coin's value close at or close to melt. This coin has not been that severely cleaned from what I can tell, so you should be safe there. If it was left to you by someone near and dear, just keep it as a memento and enjoy it and the memories it brings.
