I have to admit I've never used a bitcoin ATM to buy with, I always buy mine through Coinbase or the Square cash app - and typically only to use it to buy altcoins with. In fact I actually hold no bitcoin, I just use it as an easy medium of exchange from USD to whichever altcoin I'm investing/speculating in at that point (and in reverse if I'm cashing out)

i purchase all my BTC and related crypto thru
pay-pal by for the easiest way to buy and sell
and the fees are more then reasonable.

Has paypal finally let you spend crypto outside of paypal? I only recall them requiring you to keep it all in paypal itself at the start and lost interest in it at that point.

I invest in the platform and technology only
    don’t have a wallet or want one..LOL

That statement is interesting and somewhat confusing at the same time... so you only purchase stock in Paypal?

Or do you mean that you don't set up a personal wallet on your computer and instead use the wallets built into Paypal to store your crypto?

Yes, like to keep things simple, BTC, BTC Cash
Ether and lite coin, I don’t purchase using
crypto again just the platform if that makes
    sense.

I think in some really weird way hes just saying that he just buys and sells it and never uses it for transactions

Bitcoin has no future in day-to-day transactions.

It’s stagnated growth reveals the complete lack of acceptance as a mainstream medium of exchange.

The future is a very long time and is notoriously difficult to try to predict. Although it seems Peter doesn't shy away from doing so. :)

To the point, though. Bitcoin changes, as it has changed since 2008 and will continue to do so as long as there is a community to work on it. For example, side chains such as the Lightning Network is one possible solution to the transaction performance issue he highlighted.

He also incorrectly conflated bitcoin with all other current and future altcoins as a reason that it wouldn't work as a store of value. I suppose the equivalent would be to say that the US dollar couldn't possibly be a legitimate store of value because of all the other currencies that have been created in the world: past, present and future... Or that gold can't be a legitimate store of value because of all the other elements on earth known now and that could possibly be discovered or created in the future.

I respectively disagree, there are two types of BTC, the platform type and there's
also one called BTC ( CASH ) this is the one that is mostly used with a wallet for
day to day transactions more and more places are making it readily accessible through ATM machines, and there popping up everywhere here in Vegas !
also pay pal makes it easy if your investing in the platform itself, like I am
plus coinbase and other online vendors are offering the crypto as well, and
its beyond mainstream, and when you stay stagnation, take a look at the stock
market and PM,S as well all down, like any other investment BTC isn't immune
to the up and down fluctuations of the market.

Just because a crypto-currency is made available via ATM machines doesn't mean people will use it.

The only thing that's caught on for BitCoin is the speculative frenzy.

For now, that's true. At least a couple of countries are building their own cryptocurrency. The Feds may regulate it and the brokers that buy/sell it. I believe in the future it'll become more mainstream.
    We'll see.

There has to be reason there popping up
everywhere, people smarter then us know
the science, and wouldn’t put machines
out there if they weren’t be utilized.

They were deploying the machines anyway . . . Adding More types of accounts / funds at the ATM is just a programming detail.

So according to your logic there just putting Them out there as a programming detail ?
the reason there out there is because of the
demand for BTC is so high, putting them
out there for some non intended purpose
doesnt make any sense and would be a
    waste of money

Was my point lost on you? The ATMs are not exclusively BitCoin exchanges. They were installed to conduct regular banking, as they always have been. BitCoin simply gets added as one of the selectable options. Banks locate ATMs based on projected ROI derived from transaction fees, and not on whether users want to transact in cash or BitCoin.

The H.E.B. ATMs apparently will be installed exclusively for cryptocurrency transactions:

They're Cloud Coin ATMs made for crypto, not for banking operations. I don't know much about them but their website seems pretty clear on that:
