WOW,but it figures.I just bought two,one raw and the other ms69,which was buy it now and turned out a little cheaper.
Opened capsules I got two more capsules today which were very loose. One wanted to come open just prying it out of it the packaging in the US Mint box.The other would turn easily and that one you could a clean nick on the inside of the coin rim. These were 2008 sae with 2007 reverse. Were these coins sold in rolls?Anyone know?Probably not, they also had the COA,and in the spring loaded US Mint silver dollar boxes.:computer:
if it's not too late consider doing a paypal dispute since you sound like you didn't get what you were bidding on at least that way you CAN return what you bought as for the reason of the dispute I would use "not as descibed" and you want to just return it being as such
The coin with the nick on the inside edge of the rim had an auction had five pictures. The first picture shown in the search column was a generic picture of a 2008 SAE with 2007 reverse. It looked like a magazine type picture except worse.Three others were shaded in yellow light, and one was in regular light. Now that I look at them again, you can see a rim nick on the inside edge.I took pictures of the coin with my camera and you can't miss it.Also on the picture in regular light, the spot was cut from the shot.Do you seriously think paypal would do something or world I be better off pushing it off onto someone else in ebay?Of course I would have to not show the edge of the coin, the way he did.Because it is that visible.Any advice?
And leave bad feedback right?I am sure that will stop him in his tracks.I had a guy sell me acar with out a title on ebay and they did nothing.I had to wait for 3 months for a title. And was never able to leave bad feedback because to much time had past while waiting paypal and ebay to fix it,which they didn't.
internal packaging Internal packaging many times is not well thought out. Some times it just requires another sheet of foam or card board so the items are not damaged . The mass of larger coins can create cracked or damaged coins. If you never open a box , you will pay if you buy gold especially. I open for a quick look to check for cracked capsules. Coins do get loose because they were not covered with foam/ cardboard that will keep them in place. Sets will get a single coin loose and damage others and then they are a loose mass that ruins sets. Think about how many times those boxes are moved, turned, or tossed in transit . Pep
I just tried to leave bad feedback him and ebay doesn't let it go through. So where do you put bad feedback for ebay at?yuk yuk
One coin had a nick in it and the pics from the auction were weird. The first in the search on ebay was a scan or print version. The next three were shot with a yellow lens or something that made a yellow shadow over it.It was like a yellow sunlight through a window. The last pic was a regular pic but they had the damage rim was out of the shots when he took the pics.He lef t the edge out of the photos.I do not know enough to say whether ebay holds him culpable for refunds.
This is sort of out of context but the other day my mint pennys arrived, but when they came I was also expecting something from PCGS.So I was checking the return label carefully for where it came,in that instant I thought I would save the us mint box for shipping to PCGS by leaving it unopen.Well on the return address this had the letters PBGS,which was enough for me to open it right away.If I had thought more about I would of remembered PCGS does not use UPS.Which is how this arrived and with a phone call the day before alerting a package was coming.Whats with that?PBGS,not Fullfillment Center.
I never thought about that! I just thought anyone that wanted to buy my unopened sets wanted to do so because they were not cherry picked. I guess all these unopened mint sets I have got from the mint all these years will just have to be opened. I hope they sell opened as well as they do sealed!
