Apmex has these "scruffy" Canadian Maple Leafs @ $19.95 over spot today. Link: http://tinyurl.com/yzw96k6 Being a newbie -- what's the downside of buying "scruffy" coins for bullion purposes only -- not for collection quality ... Are they harder to sell later, etc? Thanks Bill
Yes, harder to sell for higher than spot... but not really any harder to sell in general. Plus they are scruffy so you can carry them in your pocket if you want
Thanks - the difference is $44 per coin and I'd like to buy 8 coins. That's $352. I'm wondering if the hit from them being "scruffy" would be that high per coin down the road ...
Danr -- is there a subtext that I'm sensing there about Apmex? Something wrong with them in your opinion? I'd like to know.
A nice looking bullion coin will still sell for some premium to spot these days. A scruffy one probably will not, so take that into account when you buy.
Billincolo - I have been buying gold & silver bullion, AGE's, Silver American Eagles, Mexican gold, etc and have been 100% satisfied with all of my purchases. They communicate very well and ship safely - and promptly.:thumb:
