How many Full Steps do you see?

I am going to show step photos of 9 Jefferson Nickels, and I want you to tell me how many of them have FS (Full Steps) using the PCGS grading standard. Once you have your tally, please vote in the attached poll and share in the comments which coins you think should get FS (Full Steps). Remember that PCGS only requires 5 steps and they allow shallow marks across the steps if they aren't too deep and the steps are otherwise strong.

What are the dates?

 

I don't want to reveal the dates, it might influence the decision. The first two are 1938.

 

I get so confused when I see slabs with FS and I can't even count them. I voted 2.

To me, none of these are full steps but then, I'm very picky about FS.

 

I put 5 in the poll but I will also say 4 here so I double my chances

I voted 2 but I was iffy on the 2nd one. Terrible at this game.

 

I vote 0. Plus, I think full steps should imply that other details are sharp. I don't see the sharpness of all surrounding detail. I wouldn't want them just for full steps.

 

I was going to go with 0 but if that then this thread wouldn't exist then?

Everyone of these coins is GEM BU, I don't see weakness in the surrounding areas.

 

#4 and #5 the rest have too many dings and chatter for me

 

3 though I was iffy on one of them. Always glad to have the pros grade this feature.

 

I voted 1, but I change to 0. I thought #8 was borderline...now I see no coin with 5 unoccluded steps.

4 and 8 I think.

 

No FS on 1,2,3,4,&9. 5,6,7,8 are borderline but I'm going to go ahead and say they are FS. I know PCGS is EXTREMELY picky about this designation though...

 

1....and that assumes that your ending qualifier must be met....alot of the steps I can see PARTIALLY but they have large sections (33%-60%) or more blotted out.

2) no (several steps "blended" together)
3) yes (mark through steps not disqualifying)
4) yes (close enough)
5) no (close as well...leaned towards too many minor breaks)
6) yes (close enough)
7) no (close as well...leaned towards too many minor breaks)
8) no (one bigger break...more so than #6)
9) yes (close enough)

Edit: looking at #3 again, there is an area where it looks like two steps are blended, so I would actually lean towards no....will stick with my 4 "yes" votes though
