    Anyone can sell on eBay.
Unless you're banned but I think you likely aren't.

As in an amateur seller? Sure. Most of us do not have coin shops or business licenses.

99% of ebayers are people at home that found something sitting around in the bedroom that may be a worth a few bucks.

eBay is a great place to sell coins for amateurs and professionals. Do your homework, search completed listings. and take nice big pictures. Also, 99 cent start auction may not be great for new sellers, try to start listing for the price you expect to get, or use a fixed price listing.

Your question has had some good answers, but I'd like to add if you are planning on selling learn a few things before you jump in.

Dealers in thermonuclear devices are not allowed on eBay.

Sure they are, but they just have to sell other things instead of Thermonuclear devices. Perfectly OK for the dealer in TND's to sell coins.

Right. You just send a paper catalog along with every sold item, and that's where you list the weapons of mass destruction. That way, you've already established a relationship with the buyer.

If you want to avoid all the listing, seller and shipping fees, your other alternative is to sell direct to the public from your front yard

Research what sales taxes YOU will be expected to pay to the government. If you plan to charge the buyer the sales tax you will need state permit(s) to collect taxes. DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST.
