Glad to see yours came buddy!
Hmmmm . . looks just like mine . . . 'cept you always take better pics! The one pic of mine I took with the flash, and the others without. It makes the gold tint different.
If I remember right, you have a high dollar camera too.

    Congrats!!!

The one in the pic above I am pretty sure would come back 70. The other one I got has some small scratches on the rim near the biggest feather. I might send that one back for a replacement.

Chuck, your pics are getting much better when you compare them to the pics you posted of the UHR. Turning off the flash is a huge help, now you just got to find better lighting.

Plus, it also helps to employ the right tools for the job. A proper DSLR and macro lens yields great results.

Very nice pics and a beaut' of a coin! What's that 'flake' over the buffalo's back and in front of Pluribus? Something in / on the capsule? reflection?

It's a tiny fleck of plastic capsule debris, presumably from capsule manufacture, on the underside of the capsule face.

That's irritating. I've long been irked by the debris in proof sets, such as the proofs with cardboard die cut holes, when the coin is inserted into the holder there is invariably miniscule dust and debris on the coin. it's no good. esp. in the long run.

I hope that plastic debris doesn't/didn't scratch your Buffalo.

I just opened the capsule and the coin was fine. Damn speck was clinging to the capsule from static, had to get tweezers to pull it out to prevent smearing the capsule with fingerprints.

I'm the same way. I hate it when something is inside, because I will look past almost anything in order to not open the capsule and expose it to air. One of my 5 Lincoln Proof Dollars had a little piece of plastic like your Buffalo, but I left it alone.

Before I took my Buffalo to the bank, I got out the high power stuff and looked it over really close and could not find anything wrong. That makes 2 years in a row I got a perfect Buffalo, '08 and '09. My 2006 had a very small little tic that couldn't be seen with the naked eye, but found it under the scope. My 2007 was great, but the rim was not exactly even. I really can't complain, because 50% ratio is unbelievable!

First two would be 69s, but the last two would definatley be 70s. I just don't trust people enough to send them in.

My 2009 UHR had a mint worker's grey eyelash inside the capsule. Almost sent it back. Gosh for $1,300 you'd think they would be a little more careful.
I was able to remove it.

I have seen tiny human hairs crimped in between the edges of proof sets around the seal. The paper dust and resultant specs on the coins does annoy me and while it may look harmless, these are things that make me wonder about future toning on coins. Is the paper-type proof set holder archival to begin with? If not the little specs could be a factor in tone, just as could accidental moisture from coughs and sneezes during encapsulation. I have never had any plastic specs in my coins from the Mint the but there is always statically charged dust on the insides of the capsules. I have opened a couple of capsules in the past, don't like to do it, but I put on cotton gloves, work over a soft surface and with the coin removed, use canned air to blow out the dust. AirTite holders are really nice and crystal clear as well, but do they ever catch dust. I have to do the same thing with them before sealing coins up in them. Now, I have seen some of the TPG holders with rough edges to the plastic O-ring on the inside of the holder griping the coin with frayed plastic such that it obscures the rim of the coin. You cannot photograph the coin nor see the entire rim due to this problem. ANACS seems to have a lot of problems with this, but I have seen PCGS holders with similar problems. Given the expense of some coins and especially those coins coming from the Mint, for collectors, as Proofs and in the finest presentation cases, with their operation, the Mint should really be assembling these kits in some sort of dust-free, anti-static clean room with workers in hairnets gloved and suited in lab attire. It may sound obsessive but its not uncommon in other factories and production facilities for other consumer goods. The expense to and concerns of the collector warrant such service. And as we all know, the Mint's Quality Control leaves much to be desired and improved upon.

Maybe 70s even if the rim is off. I sold a 2006 that was a PF70 but had an off center rim. NGCs definition of a PF 70:
"What is a 70? NGC defines a Mint State or Proof 70 coin as having no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification."

POST-production being the key... Off center coins still can be pf70s and sadly ive seen it too many times :(
