Hopefully some of those spouses will hit the melting pot. They are .9999 and many are trading at melt prices.

It is not an "all time record" in constant dollars. Nowhere close. I really wish you would stop posting all this "all time record" silliness every time gold ticks up, or at least keep the discussion on the PM forum where it belongs, rather than continuing to post to this thread in the US Coins forum where the price of gold matters little. Thank you for your consideration.
Leadfoot: Here is a thought, Elaine and some of us are enjoying this. So, if you hate this thread, why do you read it?
Here's something some of you and Elaine might enjoy.. Last week I posted a Bloomberg survey that predicted precious metal prices for this week. As well, I admonished Elaine for her unabashed enthusiasm for gold. Well, guess what..the Bloomberg survey was so wrong ..both gold and stocks are higher with only one trading day left this week Elaine, it looks like the Pom-Poms are working, keep waving them! As for me, I'm dining on crow this evening..:eat:
Gold break all time record high today in other part of the world by just mere $0.50. New high stand at $1,099.50 per ounce.
Morgan: I bow to your admission of error. It isn't often that anyone admits that they were incorrect! I give you credit for your comments.
But why stop here? Here's next weeks (Nov 9-13) fearless forecast for gold as predicted by the same survey I quoted last week that made me look silly: Gold may advance to a record on speculation that central banks and investors will purchase the metal to hedge against a declining dollar, a survey showed. Seventeen of 23 traders, investors and analysts surveyed by Bloomberg, or 74 percent, said bullion would rise next week. Four forecast lower prices and two were neutral. We'll see..:rolling:
I would sell my platinum at $1,342.50 per ounce and buy 2009 american buffalo gold proof at $1,360.00.
