These passed my eyes this afternoon. They are copper plated with silver. They are light at .655ozt. They looked really good in regards to color but in my hand they were way too light.
if you bought $10.00 more or less for an one ounce gold coin. then you are cheating the seller. you know that one ounce cost you more than one thousand dollars. but if you bought it for $1,100.00 and they give you the copy or the fake one. then you are being cheated. simple as that. to tell you frankly. you can buy a copy of gold coin less than $1.00. the cost for them is only ten cents.
They were presented to me for sale. The seller said he got from fleabay. They looked good and I figured them up to buy but as soon as I picked one up I knew something was fishy and then passed. The seller was kind enough to let me take some quick pics.
i want to find a fake panda. i dont want to pay full silver price for one, but i would pay a coupel bucks or so. It would be interewsting to have 1 to compare to lol
there were only 6 of them... and he didn't know they were bad until I pointed them out. He had paid close to silver price for them several months ago.
Maybe the Chinese government will take an interest in these fakes, they could careless about fakes of American coins.
They don't have face value if you pay a bit attention. The people who made these probably believed they will avoid prosecution if getting caught as they are not counterfeiting Renminbi. I'm aware there are some counterfeits with face value, however.
