Btw...I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Sarah Polk set. I wanted to wait, but chickened out. $654 & $641 is an awful lot of money...we'll see if this turns out to be the right move or not.

 

Yeah, I think I am going to pull the trigger this weekend if gold stays above $1000.

Keep in mind, we have a whole year to buy these coins after they come out. I guess there is always a chance the mint could D/c the coin early, but so far there is no reason to think otherwise until the Mint gives us a reason to think otherwise.

The NYMEX dollar futures have been going down since March. 86 now to the mid 75s.
Gold will have to have some selling as always profit must be booked. Then the buy cycle starts again. If you see 950-970 I would want at least some bullion of any kind as long as it is a good deal. AApmex seems to move a lot of merchandise,and have a great number of satisfied customers. Any others you like and have used over a long time period ?

Elaine, it looks like the US Mint took your suggestion to reduce the amount of their price hikes...the Price Guide lists the Unc FS coin at $666, but the actual coins are listed at $665.75...don't spend your discount all in one place!
