Creating "ethnic humor" only creates the illusion that they are some how less than us Americans. Attaching them is the same. I recall playing with all the plastic toys made in Japan as a kid (in the 1950s) and can see how these "cheap markets" have shifted over time. Hopefully, we won't become some cheap market for another country... seems that is the road we are heading in... especially if we approach other countries with ethnic jokes that only we can laugh at. I find it offensive... not funny, for my children and wife who are also Americans who can't related to those "Chinese eating dog ethnic jokes" like these mentioned by these in these strings. Makes me feel American has a long way to go... better we get back to the coin talk!
Weifin if I offended you or anyone else here I am truly sorry. I did not mean to offend anyone. Of course being an Injun I get kidded all the time....but you are right and I was wrong and I will never do it again. Chief
I appreciate the comment and thank you for it! I get very tired of hearing the negativity around the Chinese and get tired of hearing the attacks. My wife studied Cherakee for a while but forgot most of it "Oh-see-oh" [how are you?] Again, thanks!
