Is it time to sell my Platinum eagles?

I bought 3,1 half ounce Platinum eagles from AMPEX when Platinum was at $1120. now its above $1,300 I dont know with the economy the way it is if Platinum will go much higher in the near turn. Any of you experts out there have any opinions as to weather it would be smart to sell the eagles at this time? THANKS!

Hmmm, I remember a time last year when platinum ascended to over $2K, that would be selling time.

Watch the dollar, it is going down the toilet again.

 

I dont know if Platinum is directly related to the dollar the way gold and silver are. I thought Platinum was more related to industry. I thought with industry production way down at this time that Plat. really would go down not up like gold. I have lots of gold and silver I mainly got the Plat. eagles in order to buy the beer to celebrate the nice gold high price when the time comes. Of course if Krispy is going to sell his I might wait as it seems when he sells a rally happens! LOL

 

These are fairly unpredictable times, look where the dollar has been all over the map in the last several months. My next venture over to Europe is going to cost a bunch more than it did this summer, until I get back home to Ukraine where the hryvnia seems to be the only currency outpacing the dollar for losing value.

I am one of those that hold the metal no matter what. Speculative investing is not for me, otherwise I would have sold all the $495 oz gold a long time ago, along with the $4.54 and $6.50 silver. Most of my platinum is more recent from when it bottomed out - and people sold it off

 

I guess this would be as good a time as any to sell. You know you are at least going to get your initial investment back and then some extra. Platinum is so volitale that I will never buy it again. I made that mistake once..... and although I don't completely regret the decision because I ended up with some very nice coins, I will most likely definitely, possibly never do it again.

 

The charts show platinum going to $1550, plus it just recently broke out so I am not selling.

 

Are the "charts" allways right?

Why 2012?

 

on that year. you will know that your investment on coins worth a lot. and you might decide to keep it forever.

I wouldn't. I expect industrial demand to go up once Cap & Trade becomes law.
