how did gold and silver do during the depression.

    anyone know how gold and silver faired during the great depression? i can find a price chart that goes back that far.

    Its going to be totally different this time around as our money was based on silver and gold back then.

    Yes, but you must remember that the US can change the rules of the game whenever it feels like it.

    It would be totally irrational to base a price assumption in today's non gold standard-fiat money economy than it would back when we were under the gold standard!
    Simply no comparison...the economic policies of modern times is much more manipulated today than back in the depression era.
