I was going through my collection and came across this Washington quarter that has only the number six as the date the mint mark is missing and part of In God We Trust is missing and the Li on Liberty is also missing CM210214-170225013.jpg CM210214-165914007.jpg CM210214-165554001.jpg CM210214-165709003.jpg CM210214-170225013.jpg can someone please tell me if this is a mint error or just wear and tear

It's the "Greaser" of all greasers, IMO.

It was struck by a grease-filled die. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. These are so common that I would not pay more than face value for it.

A common greaser but worthy of keeping for yourself as an educational piece.

I'm still on the fence between grease-filled die (aka. "Greaser") or rolling/counting machine damage. The images of the reverse seem to change with the lighting. In that condition, I doubt the correct answer will alter the value much either way.

I am in the "GREASER" camp. It is a neat coin, I would put it in a flip and ad it to my "What the ****? box.

Welcome to CT Ms. Jimmie. While I appreciate you posting the photos Full Image, the lighting doesn't allow a good view of the coin, but enough to determine your question. Greaser? Damage? I haven't a clue but maybe @paddyman98 or @Fred Weinberg or another of our error experts could shed some light on this.

It has been answered on the other posts.. Struck through grease. Worn Die. Nice example.

I am aware of previous post, but none where definitive, IMO, which is why I alerted you and Fred.

welcome to CT Jimmie Trahan. you definitely have a neat coin. i think it was struck thru a greased filled die plus other issues like a worn die as paddyman98 suggested. thanks for showing it to us on CT.

I'm not so sure on the greaser, possible, but a LOT of Crimper damage all around, like it was held against the crimper too long... Just my quarter's worth

That's definitely a Struck Through greaser. Usually the perimeter of the coin shows the deterioration first. No crimping damage there.
