Funny how I have never received any notification what so ever on this coin. I called the mint last friday to confirm whether or not my coin was still ordered and it was. I also inquired as to what the delay was in shipping the coin since my profile on line said that the coin was in stock, but the order was on hold. The lady I spoke with said that she was unsure of what the delay was and that she was going to try and correct that. No word yet and I will probably call tomorrow to see what is going on.

Yep, even got confirmation number for UPS. Expected delievery date is Monday. ONly problem now that you need a delievery confirm sig, we won't be home during the day. At least with Fed Ex, I knew the lady at the distribution center which was right up the road from me and she would hold my packages. I hope I can do the same with UPS.

Traditionally UPS does the same. If they can't deliver, they'll have it available for pickup at your local UPS distro center after 5:30 or so.

You could leave a signed note on your door instructing the driver on where to leave the package and allowing him to release it to that location, however, you may not be comfortable with that. On my old route I used to do that all the time with my regular customers and never had any problems.
Trouble is that this is a very valuable shipment and you don't want any "snags" so maybe you could just pick it up at the station after hours. Most of us were back in the building by 7 PM but each station has a different policy regarding driver return time.
One other thing. Most of these packages were sent "next day air" with a 10:30 AM commitment time meaning that they have to be delivered by that 10:30. Could be earlier though....

You can log onto UPS and have an address change done on your package, and they will re-route it to your work. That's what I did when my UHR came in.

Actually it's pretty neat. Now every time I get a UPS package coming to me, then it sends me an email so I know its coming. You can also trace it like Fed-Ex.

green...you're an old UPS guy too huh. Worked for them for 20 in OK. Ended up in management, which was a mistake...should have just stayed a driver....it's a much better job. Been away from them for over 10 years now, and man have things changed!

Got my 30 in a little more than eight years ago and never looked back.

Ain't it funny how no matter what part of the country you worked in things within the stalag....I mean company.... where pretty much the same?

The bad thing about it was that when I got out, I had to sell all of my stock back to them within 10 years. They weren't public back then.
Oh well, I can't complain...I did alright. I'll never have to worry about money again....I hope, ha

Well Ken, you would be pleased to know that I too worked for UPS for 2 months. It was during college and I needed some cash and they paid 9.50hr to unload the trucks. I only lasted 2 months and here is why....... Woke up around 1:45 to be at work around 2:30. That was AM! Worked until 8am where I then went to my other job from 9am to 12noon. I went home and slept, then went to classes from 4-8pm (it was grad school - only had two classes a day) Then went to my third job as a stock boy from 8-10pm and 6-10 on nights that I didn't have class. Then I got home, slept for a few hours and back at it again. That is why I have very little sympathy for people who complain about work or not being able to afford school. Where there is a will, there is a way.
