I just got this in the mail today and as the younger set says, I'm stoked! :D This is my stimulus buy, I plan to remove it from it's Capital Holder and place a gold Indian in there! Started to take pics myself but that's not working, I'll try again later after I remove the coin. Anyone else get a stimulus buy or a new coin period? ;)

Nice coin! Unfortunately we here in Canada did not get any stimulus payments/ just a "Kick in the pants" with our low Dollar:( I have a MS-65 example in my collection.

Hey Nice Coin there Son . LOL . Unfortunately there are complications and we are not getting one. If you didn't get one , you can get the credit on Your INCOME TAXES . That's what my accountant said . But I'm still getting a small purchase .

I think you can polish that plastic box and get the scratches out, there was a post the other day of a guy that would spend 4 or 5 hours making that plastic smooth as a babies bum,

I have always liked the Sesquicentennial coins although some dealers don’t like them at all. The 1926 fair in Philadelphia was a financial bust. Some of the pavilions were not even finished and opened.

From what I have read, you couldn’t buy the $2.50 gold coin on the fairgrounds. They were sold by some banks.

I polish scratched lenses all the time with headlight polish. It does a great job.

I have 14 boxes to open. Some of them are 6-7 years, others are 3-4 years and then there's the 2 that came last week and yesterday's box. Which one should I choose? Lol

Hope you're sitting but will you come help me? Count to 10 Randy, it should help you to breathe again. I'm sure you're laughing. I know I am.

Yes, many people didn't like the coin itself, not the looks but how it wore, especially the dates. Here's my pendant, dates are completely gone! I'm thinking of getting the one above graded but I'm not sure yet as I only have two submissions to send in, we'll see! ;)

Nice coin. My stimulus check was mailed on Jan 6th I'm still waiting for it to arrive.

Mine arrived yesterday so yours should be soon. Remember how slow the postal service is these days.

Super nice looking coin @green18, do you also have the half dollar? thumbsup.gif Just wondering as I remember you have quite a nice collection of commemorative coins.

The trouble with this design is that it was executed in low relief. On some coins, the reverse can be especially nice. When you swirl it under a light, some pieces look like a golden sun is rising in back of Independence Hall, which is a really great effect. It reminds my of Benjamin Franklin’s comment about the rising sun chair after the deliberations that resulted in the constitution. Unfortunately most coins don’t have this feature.
