Imagine if the truck they were all on from the mint to the distribution center went missing? wonder if the driver even knows how much coin he is carrying.

the new distribution center is the problem i think. it might be cheaper when the mint chose it.
that's why this distribution center can't cope with the heavy orders by collectors. the mint should change it again.

Remember, the lowest bidder is doing the job, think about that as you drive over the bridge to work........

Got it today, no signature required. No book though. I think the mint is going to have a problem.

Was it worth the wait? Is it all you expected it to be?

I didn't care about the wait, it's my dads. I wish it was mine, so yeah, it is all I expected it to be. I am afraid to handle it though, 'cause its not mine.

What I want to know is what was your dad's order #. Go ahead, tell me it was 30,000 after mine. That seems to be all I hear is how the Mint is screwing with our heads by shipping LIFO (LAST IN FIRST OUT)!

don't waste your time too much on UHR double eagle gold coin. the mint just declared the 2008 mint 28 pc uncirculated set sold out. the lowest mintage 745,464. and toppled the 2004 low mintage of 844,485. right now three lowest mintages for 2008. namely the 2008 clad proof set, the 2008 mint uncirculated set. and the 2008w american eagle unc 1/4 ounce gold coin. see those three to go up in prices.

do we all get that pretty wood box? Or is that the gift box?

That box looks very similar to the ones used for the 1 Oz Proof Buffalo last year, so I'd say it is part of the presentation. Sure beats the heck out of laminated cardboard.

i should said the prosperity box is the best. then came the am buffalo box. third is the UHR double eagle and the ugliest is the spouse box.

I can only speak for the Jefferson's Liberty (as this is the only spouse coin I own) but I like the packaging.
