Both Double Prosperity coins have the w mint mark, unlike the Celebration bullion coin the mint offered.

 

Yeah, as has been mentioned before, this is by far the best indicator of actual activity as they won't issue a charge until it has been prepared and ready to ship. Just checked the mint site and the coin is still in and reserved but the book is now set to ship on 2/20 instead of 2/24.

And, yes, you are spot on. I am fairly confident that the one hand has no clue what the other hand is doing.

 

My status went from estimated ship date of 3/20/09 yesterday to "In stock and reserved" today. The book is listed as backordered, though. Is the US Mint getting it's printing paper from Australia, also?

order # 30833XXX both show in stock and reserved, cancel box has dissappeared, cc has been charged. Hopefully the US Postal service is
a little bit swifter than the US Mint.:hail:

 

More than likely it'll be FDX or UPS......

 

Well, I checked my bank account and there is a debit pending for the UHR. This means nothing as I have found out from CS reps at the mint that they often put a hold request out for the amount of the coin before as the order is processed. So now there is a pending charge on my card, but it will clear itself here in a few days. Then, typically, a week to several weeks later it will actually debit when it is shipped. I usually receive the coin within one day after I notice the debit. On rare occasions, I will receive the coin before the actual debit occurs.

When I checked the mints site, the little boxes are still available for me to cancel my order if I chose. If anyone receives the coin soon, please post some pics.

I was getting discouraged there for a bit since a lot of others with order numbers after mine had been getting shipped.

 

UHR double eagle latest sales at 45,420. thanks to so many have decided to cancel it. i suspect it will pass 50,000 and settle between 60,000 to 70,000. while the mint is planning to flood the market with many blank being ordered from australia. anyway. it still considered a bullion coin.

 

They're closing on eBay above 1700. Bullion, indeed.

Has anyone on Coin Talk received their UHR Eagle yet?

 

That's idiotic. Anyone can still buy it on the mint's web site for $1289. Why would they pay more than $400 more?

 

Supposedly "IN HAND" for $1725. Their order number is at least 700 after my order number, 30826XXX. If it were me, I would have posted a picture of the box up close. But then I wouldn't be selling it. Nobody knows for sure, it might be worth $4000 if the Mint stops production like they did last year.

 

Sure, after the mint stops production. But now, anyone can buy their own at list price. They might have to wait awhile, but unless you are going for a so-called "first strike" or "early release", why pay more than you have to?

 

I am guessing it is to do with the somewhat spotty way these are shipping. It's not giving anyone the confidence to think that, "yes, the Mint is on the ball and I believe I will get what I order."

I was an early order and even I was beginning to wonder if it was going to go south.

I called the Mint Monday, CS lady said that my coin (30826XXX) was picked on the 9th, and it was in the warehouse being packed, and should ship that day.
Not Here Yet!!!

I called back last night and spoke with a man this time. I told him the last Rep. told me it should ship Monday, and she said to call back in a day or two. He looked it up on the computer again, and said the exact same thing....Picked on the 9th, and was being packaged for shipping now, but there were probably lots of others being packaged along with mine. Seemed like a nice guy that actually knew what was going on. I was impressed for once. Said should ship any time now. All other times they have seemed in a daze.

When he first answered, I said I'll bet you are sick of people calling asking him about their UHR, and he said actually, it was a welcome change, because 90% of the calls he had taken were about the new Lincoln Proof and Unc that came out yesterday.

Then I asked him about the 5 Proof Lincolns and the 5 Unc Lincolns that I ordered at Noon, and he laughed. I said don't bother, I'll get those when they come in, I just want my UHR. I think his name was Josh. I hope he wasn't just a Joshin' me about when my UHR was suppose to ship.

I've had no change for 5 days now. CC still has pending charge like most everyone else. and I'm justa waitin' for them to pull the trigger.
