US Mint behavior

My quest for the UHR double eagle is the first time in a long time that I've dealt with the mint. The confusing emails and frequent changes in status, as well as outright unexplained cancellations that I've heard about, makes the mint appear to be a sinister organization. My telephone conversations with operators at the mint have been less than cordial. Have they forgotten who owns the Mint as well as this country?.... WE the People.... yeah, right.

Talked to someone at the mint today 2-3-09,, and they said shipping was due to start on the 20th. But who knows.

 

now it moved to feb.27,2009.

 

That's okay.....I ain't in a hurry to pay for this one.

 

I want to pay for it and get it over with.. Its like a monkey on my back. .. AAAAHHHHHH, MONKEY

THE FEDERAL RESERVE RUNS THIS COUNTRY ALONG WITH JUST ABOUT EVERY OTHER COUNTRY.Several countries in Africa are the exception to the rule. Sorry to say fellow collectors!!!!

Started out with "In stock and Reserved adn will ship 2/6/09" to "Backordered will Ship 2/13/09" and as of this morning "Backordered, will ship 3/13/09"

Reality says I will get this thing sometime in November. Disappointed

3-13,, NOOOOOOOO. That sucks. The mint still shows 2-6 for me my order # was 30838xxx. I orderd around 1:30.

I guess I should expect another email from the mint soon

I don't know how this thread is falling to page 2, I think this is the coolest coin to come out of the mint, in a long time.
Anyway, there is something weird going on with the order#s, I have seeen folks with order #s lower, and higher than mine that have shown in stock and reserved.

Mine NEVER showed that, Only, in process, and backordered. Mine was one of the few that still showed a 2-06, ship date,,,,,,, until today. My # was 30838xxx

Well, mines now reading in stock and reserved. The book is slated for shippment 2/20. The e-mail I recieved from the mint two days ago read 2/18 for shippment.

the mint is all over the place on this one....mass confusion is only an appearance... patience is a virtue... you will all have your coins within 3 years.
btw, anyone have info reg new production of gold buffalos for 2009?
