I just bought 2x tubes of 2020 American Silver Eagles because right now the silver to gold ratio is sooo high.

Either gold will drop a lot or silver will go up in my opinion.

Think about it. Just a century ago (1920s) it was totally possible to go into a bank with 20x Morgan Silver Dollars and trade them for 1x Double Eagle since both were valued at $20.

    That’s a 20:1 ratio.

These days if you took 20 American Silver Eagles and asked anyone to trade you a 1oz American Gold Eagle for them they would laugh at you.

I think silver will hit $75/oz in the next decade or so.

Maybe....but gold might well hit $3,000 or $4,000 an ounce in which case the tellers will still laugh at you.:D

Of course, if you own some gold bullion or Liberty or Saint DE's....you can get the last laugh.:D

Not a 20 to one ratio, 16 to one. 20 silver dollars about 16 ounces of silver, a double eagle about an ounce.

Only if you stack enough of it, quickly enough.

For "explosive in small quantities" I'd go with cesium. Or, if you can't count on having water nearby, maybe the right kind of antimony.

Nah, just drilling for oil.

(BTW, one small clarification to the article's first paragraph: cesium metal will, indeed, "melt in your hand", but not because it's near body temperature -- it'll melt because it's burning vigorously and yanking all the oxygen out of the water in your flesh. "Melt through your hand" might be more accurate.)
