Yes, the whole premise is nothing because there's not a mint mark so there's truly no difference! Mezack takes a nothing burger, throws some verbal onions, tomato, lettuce and special sauce and blamo, laughs all the way to the bank! :D

Another erudite member here quoted P. T. Barnum the other day and I praised the use of the Circusmaster's most famous saying, given that this is already late 2020 and he proved beyond a shadow that there are some still alive who remember that quip.

For a person to be disingenuous, though, is entirely different from recognizing that suckers come and go in any of a thousand different aspects of life. Tricking somebody into doing something that he might not otherwise do—like candidates making promises they have no intention of keeping to get your vote, for example—is disingenuous.

Anyone who has ever gone through a professional selling skills course knows that in order for the seller to close a potential customer he must discover what features will benefit and thus persuade his target to accept. That's hardly being dishonest, Mr Fret; the best of them can persuade their customers without them even knowing it.

What if none of the coins struck in Philadelphia, Denver or San Francisco had mint marks? Just a thought.

    Vive la différence.

exactly. AVC coins on tv are also selling them at high prices. They do both have a really pretty SF "picture core" of the Bay Bridge..that is definitely worth the price lol

Hadn’t heard of AVC before this and checked out their Web site. Another bunch of Mezack wannabes.

I can get newer, slabbed ASE’s in MS69 with a designation of being minted in a specific Mint (i.e. Philadelphia, San Francisco, or West Point) for $6 over spot. That is amounts to basically paying $2 for the slab which I think is fair. Numismatic value is driven by demand. If no one cares, then it doesn’t matter. Perhaps the 2020 emergency issue will be cool to look back on one day however, I can’t justify purchasing these. I just get raw ASE’s. Buy the coin, not the label.
