Gandhara (Janapana) (Subject of Persian Empire) (Struck Coinage) Long silver "bent-bar" Shatamana 600BC-300 BC
Although this is round, it is really round. It is a sphere. 33mm .999 Silver. Barbados, 5 Dollars, 2019, Spherical Moon, 50th Anniversary of the moon walk, antiqued.
Not round has made it as a theme in the coin Uno thread. I have been super sluggish with my photos of late, and haven't really bought much of anything (a couple medals/plaques mostly) so, these are repeat photos most likely.
Do you have a copy of Hartill's book? It's super reader friendly and gives a chart on the location of the inverted sakuras to identify them. https://www.amazon.com/Early-Japane...rds=hartill+japan+coins&qid=1596514949&sr=8-1
Just one of the much smaller manen koban. As low as you can go on the weight and purity (and price) scale. Dates from 1860-1867. Hubs got it for me one anniversary when we lived in Japan. A man who truly understands his wife! Flowers are nice, gold is better, and pre-monetary reform Japanese gold money is the best! edited for date typo
Oh a Koban. Still an amazing coin. I enjoy seeing a woman being so passionate about coins. You have an impressive coin collection.
