How come you're "following" female members, almost exclusively, on cointalk? Is ol' hookman looking for love on the internet?

It's not that bad at all, but when you come with science fiction scenarios and can't understand the difference between the world super power with nukes and the strongest military in the world than Burma..........

    Superpower ??

Russia and China are superpowers. America is just a wayward lost child in the context of today's world.

America is hopelessly divided, arguing and bickering with itself. The Left is wrong, No the Right is wrong. Let's ask the Kardashians. They know what's really going on.

The vast number of Americans have the attention span of a gnat, and the concentration of a......Hey man, roll another one. The Kardashians are about to come on and P Diddy is on the show.

Let's have a drink and leave it till tomorrow.

I do hope you seek help @Hookman. We should all try to be nicer to each other and I am guilty of not following that sometimes as are others that come at me, but I do hope you seek help if that is how distorted your view of the world is

Thank you for the sentiment B-Ball, and Thank you for admitting that you've been wrong for hazing me as you have. My view is not distorted. I am simply a realist. Sometimes pessimistic. Sometimes optimistic, but always a Realist.

As I asked everyone, Did those things I linked actually happen? No one answered, yet you and I, and everyone else, knows those things absolutely did happen.

Go back and read my original post. Did I declare that those things were going to happen in the US? Did I predict those things to happen here? NO I DID NOT ON BOTH COUNTS.
As I said, I'm simply positing a scenario, a possible scenario but not a probable scenario, simply a possible scenario, for the sake of discussion. Yet I was immediately and undeservedly, attacked, as if I had burnt the flag and destroyed the Constitution all in one fell swoop. Disagreement is a large part of discussion but to attack someone so vehemently and with such acidity, is simply not necessary.
And to make matters worse, this entire thread became hijacked by those attacks, and thus,my necessary defenses.

I look at it like Hey, it was fun.

    All is forgiven.

    I haven't hazed you.

It's also possible to have aliens take over the world after getting hit by lightning and and winning the lottery. Completely unrealistic hypothetical are a waste if time.

Hookman does have a point, you have to consider every possibility, no matter how extreme.

What's everyone doing with all this extra time on their hands? I'm pulling out my furnace so I can try my hand at sand casting copper. I'm beginning with copper so I can learn and then try making my own silver art bars. If anyone has any tips I'd sure appreciate it because there's not much info out there. Here's a pic of one of my first attempts, a 8 lb copper bar that I sand cast using a wood block I cut in that shape. 8lbbar.JPG

    ahh .. brings back memories.
I nearly bought a centrifugal casting machine to get back into lost wax ring making a few years ago. But not in my garage until I make a shed to handle ceramic crucible ovens for prepping the metals an a bigger bankroll for buying those metals (18k gold etc).

Yeah, it's gonna take some time for me to master sand casting let alone lost wax. Although, I have been researching lost foam casting and that might be the way I go. Right now I'm sitting on about a ton of #1 copper scrap so why not make bars? I use a 8kg crucible so I'm probably going to be doing 8-10 lb. bars.

If 'ya got it, and have the equipment and the time .. might as well.
Looks like fun (seriously - I used to like doing that stuff).
I've always wanted to make a copper sword too like those youtube videos of taking pre82 pennies and melting them into a sword. Except I don't think I could get myself to destroy so many pennies.
