...are we planning on shooting each other now over a virus not really worst than a bad strain of the flu?

My PM has done about what I expected, didn't lose value uch when equities were tanking. Since I am kind of a hoarder I didn't sell any, but OTOH I cannot access them now since the inside of the banks are closed. I will have to consider that aspect for the next time. If I had to lay my hands on it at the moment I can't. I didn't plan on that.

My City of St. George, Utah is jutted on bullets. I have a funny T-shirt...

There is 1 store in my city called Modern Warriors that carry these 9mm "man stoppers" , but they are $30 for 25 bullets. I will only use these in home defense. I did buy 2 buckets of 500 9mm Blazers before the craziness in my city because of the coronavirus for my Glock 19 9mm.

These 9mm bullets will do a lot of damage coming at 1,250 feet per second.

my 2020 survival kit...no TP anywhere..and if there is there's a limit 1 per customer. TP is gold (money) in my town. You can check Ebay but the shipping costs will kill you. Hand sanitizer on Ebay a small $5.00 bottle is going for $30 not including shipping...the largest bottle $99 yikes.

Maybe I should try to cash in. I have a couple of pallets of TP at work, and have the ability to make about 20,000 gallons of hand sanitizer if needed. But, 1) I still need to run my plants and 2) I would not sleep at night knowing I profited in this time. I have given some neighbors some TP that we had extra at home. I suggest everyone banding together as humans and help each other out during this period. There is no shortage of paper, only spiked demand due to people panicking and hoarding. The shelves will refill, we will be fine if we all simply share short term.

I am in the upper midwest. The ethanol plants are hurting right now, and have all the capacity in the world to make alcohol for sanitizer. There will NOT be a shortage long term. Millions of gallons as we speak are being made and rushed to plants to package. For industry, I have no problem ordering truckloads of it if I want it, so this proves it is consumer panic, not shortage of product, that is driving this.

Don't forget, washing your hands with soap is massively more effective than sanitizer, so simply wash your hands and be safe everyone. :) Good luck and God bless.

Nope just checked their online store....all 9mm bullets are out of stock... wow. TP is very scarce in my town. You are limited to 1 only. There are loop holes you can do to get a 2nd TP. Go out and come back in the store. I usually buy for my 92 year father first... then go back in a get 1 more for me. Or if you have you wife or girlfriend purchase another rolls separately. I discovered that they have TP in the RV section of the automotive section now. If I am that desperate I can get it there. Hand sanitizer evaporates in my Walmart store. To many people wanting it and not enough supply. Our store has gotten better at stocking the antibacterial soaps liquid and bars so thats comforting. It is refreshing to see food back on the shelves at my Walmarts. There was a crazy panic in this town about 2-3 weeks ago. Food was gutted at my walmart.

I believe in being well stocked. Gun control is being about to hit your target and I do that very well.

Gun freaks amuse me. Everything from an election to a virus gets them all worked up and they need to let the whole world know what they have.

It has nothing to do with this virus. My friend Karen and I go to the shooting range every Thursday. We call it group therapy. It is very satisfying hitting the target where you want it to go. My father is worried people will come for his food storage so it is reasonable to be prepared for that. Everyone that has a gun in this city went on a bullet buying frenzy. Overnight in 3 days bullets everywhere were bought up. Like the guy said at the gun shop...A gun without bullets is useless.

When you live in a state where the gun grabbing freaks push for and vote on legislation in the middle of the night without the legislators so much as reading the bill, making sure your supply is ample is a prudent course of action.

Profiting and gouging are two very different things. If you do have excess of something and could sell it at a reasonable rate (reasonable being key) it would be helping others. Now the people who bought up all the bottles of sanitizer to sell for huge profits are a different story.

If someone wanted to donate items or give them away be all means do it, but I wouldn't demonize a reasonable/normal profit or even selling at cost especially given how many are jacking up prices. The gouging and buying up everything for resale to gouge is the reprehensible act

My point was that a thread goes from talking about bouillon to people bragging about how much Firepower they have. Don't get why people think they need to advertise to the world that they are armed to the teeth. Maybe it makes them feel better about themselves I don't know.

Aren't there gun enthusiast websites out there where people can go have these conversations? I thought this was coin talk not gun talk.

Not one post here has been anyone armed to the teeth.

why do people think they need to advertise the coins they have or what they like?

It’s conversation, which in this case started out as a joke that was also true
