Aesthetically, I've always preferred White PMs to Yellow. (I even ordered my UT grad. ring in white gold) However, for investment I'd pick yellow over white anytime.
    Any silver I own has a hefty collector's/numismatic value attached. e.g. 1916
    MS-63FH SLQ.
& a silver partridge in a pear tree.
(Didn't mean to sound so 'bragiferious')
    Cheers,
    J.T.

That's a matter of opinion. Silver is Poor Man's gold. It allows people that can't afford the yellow crap to own something.

That's only a little over 20 pounds. Even most geezers can lift that.

I'm 70, have two artificial hips and one artificial shoulder. I've had 27 surgeries, head-to-toe, metal all over, but I regularly carry 50 lbs plus when gardening, or helping others. I could carry a heck of a lot of silver if need be. I love the stuff.

My father who died just short of 92 years had the grip strength of a young man. He got it peeling potatoes for the senior citizen center meals for 25 years after retiring from owning a cafe (where he must have peeled carloads of potatoes over those 40 years).

It is a blatant form of ageism to make a blanket statement of physical disability for the elderly population.

I agree. Just because someone might have a disability or two does not mean that they are necessarily weak.

Yeah, and some dudes like fat chicks. But that doesn't mean he should be judging beauty pageants.

That's awesome! I'm glad that in your condition you are still able to do those things.

But your personal experience doesn't change the fact that a) the older you are the more likely you are to be disabled and b) that people who are disabled would, on average, have a harder time transporting 233 ounces of silver compared to ablebodied people.

There is simply no disagreeing with point A and point B. Those statements say nothing about you personally, only about the averages of people in your age group and condition.

By all means, keep digging. Let us know if you need a bigger shovel, we'll toss one down.

I know a guy in a wheelchair who is under 200 pounds and can bench press 300. Most people cannot do that.

No, they can't. I probably can't anymore, either.

Wrong. Standards of beauty typically relate to health. There is an evolutionary advantage to beauty: increasing chances of reproduction because beauty is a sign of good health.
While there are certainly exceptions (like anorexic models in recent times), standards of beauty mostly center around human features that show high health. Good teeth, not too fat or skinny, good complexion, hips capable of bearing a child, etc.

233 oz is about 16 lbs. Not exactly dragging an uncooperative elephant with you.

Imagine for one moment someone saying to you: I find girls with missing teeth attractive. The inability to chew food properly really drives me wild.

No, sorry, but beauty is not in the eye of the beholder.

Thank you for your definition of beauty. Mine is different so beauty is still in the eyes of the beholder.

Is that what the coin collector who likes fat chicks says when he tries to convince his wife to go to coin shows with him?

You now assume my wife is fat and that I like fat chicks. As usual you're wrong!
To a toothless man she could be very attractive and no, I am not toothless.

For the record, it wasn't directed at you, so that's why I edited it for clarity.
