I finally got my first coin collection. I have one Susan B. Anthony dollar coin. Four Sacajawea coins and then ten president coins. I will post a picture of them later.

@Randy Abercrombie is right! It is addictive. I started coin collecting at 8 years old and haven’t been able to quit. I might need a patch or something.:cigar:

Watch for Littleton Coin Co. advertisements (could get on their e-mail list), their prices are high, but they often run promos for the latest dollar coins...I have done the 6 X $1 coins for $6 shipping included several times. Be warned, they do send "approvals" at ridiculous prices, so make sure to send them back (pre-paid mailer) and if you don't put down any preferences for approvals, they probably won't continue to bug you. Welcome to coin collecting and to CT.

So your a dollar man. Never get them but like them. Never get haves either. Only get a few president dollars for buying train fare for Sabre and Bison games.

Welcome, you’ll find what you like most. I collect different ones at times but try to focus and study on depression era stuff.

Welcome to the forum! The small dollar series, or "golden dollars" as they're sometimes called, are a great start from which to build a collection around. The key to the Sacagawea series is the elusive 2000 Cheerios promotional specimen, easily distinguishable by a well defined central tail feather. What I would strongly advise, if collecting these uncertified, invest in Air-tite coin holders or similar as the bright shiny manganese quickly darkens if left to the surrounding conditions as is.
