    Half Box 2 of 8 yielded 6, 40% and a few NIFC...Woohoo!

Worth noting in years past here the MWR papers were plain black and white, whereas this year they are brown and white and marked Dunbar.

Made a drop off/pickup trip to my neighboring town this morning. Snagged 5 boxes, 1 partial bag, some loose, and $60 CWRs - all halves. Plus $100 MWRs of quarters. Should be a fun afternoon! :D

Preliminary results from my pickups today:
    $106 partial bag - 3 x 40%ers
    $44 loose - 1 x 40%ers
$60 CWRs - 21 x 40%ers (includes 1 almost solid roll with 19 x 40%ers, this wrapper, the top one, was different from the other 5. Man, I love those white and gray rims!
A nice haul so far and a definite improvement over my recent lack of success! :D 5 boxes remain to be searched in the next day or two, one box had 1 ender so at least I won’t be skunked. ;)

Oh, and the best part about the roll with 19 silvers, it came from a “no-account” bank.

Half box 3 of 8 held 2 40%, which is more than 1 silver coin per $500. This was better than my long term average, so I’m happy :)

The box with ender gave up a total of 4 x 40%ers. One was a 1968-S proof, my first, and a hole filler in my Dansco PDS album!

$100 MWR quarters on the way home from class. I only found a single grimy WIP West Point Mint quarter along with a 2008 Panamanian 1/4 Balboa.

    Small hunt today
    $100 quarters - San Antonio "W", Hungary 10 Forint, Canada 25c
    $40 halves - skunk
    $10 dimes - 64P Roosie
    $2 nickels - skunk
    $1 cents - 3x wheats, 2x Canadian 1c, 1x 2c Euro, 1x UK 1p

Also on the way home, my dump bank called saying that they were going to start charging me 7% to dump coins there. I asked why and he said because I have been dumping "excessive" coins. I asked him how much was "excessive" and he couldn't tell me. I told him I would work with him and lower my dumping if he could give me a ballpark figure as to what was "excessive". He said he'd call back tomorrow. Looks like halves will probably be off the table for awhile at least.

Dumped 0 for 98th halves box. Went to another bank and the bank stopped me and will charge me $7.50 for each box. HELLO?!?!?!? I AM THE CUSTOMER. There's nothing special about it. This stupid 20-25 year old entitled (expletive) with slickback hair acting like he owns the joint. He had a nerve to have that condescending tone with me: "We charge you because you lowlife degenerates abused everything and you ordered too much in short time frame and then dump." LOL. I do not abuse and I do not dump where I eat. I asked for head teller or supervisor, neither was here so of course he's in charge. I will be speaking to them tomorrow and have him fired because I never seen this fool before. I am not telling him why I do this, it's classified. Time to find another bank.

Dang FF, sorry to hear that! A 7% fee would put me out of business at my dump bank too. Hopefully, he will come back with a decent amount you can dump for no fee.

Oh great, now I fear my dump bank would do the same after I had an encounter with an infant clerk at pick-up bank. What state are you from? I would avoid the state when I go on a trip :)

I just want to know what this magic threshold is. I've been basically dumping the same amount there every week for years. Never so much as a blink of an eye.

EDIT: To me, it sounded like some middle manager who was looking to make the bank more money by squeezing some money from somewhere. Thought, hey look at this, I can get some money from the coin machine. Bam here comes my promotion!

I would not back down though and he kept repeating the "excessive" without providing a definition.

Tell him that! For YEARS. 5 years is 260 weeks.

I did. He just kept saying "You are using the machine to excess and I am going to put a note on your account to charge you 7%." Was not happy. What say you @Islander80-83 ? Any tips/tricks/words of advice?

That's not equality. Discrimination to some degree. I would understand if it applies to ALL customers. I'm going into Wells Fargo and rage-order 12 boxes. Wish me luck.

I am very kind to everyone that works at the CU. The tellers and I have a great relationship. This is just some middle management suit trying to do something to benefit a corporation who couldn’t care less about him. I wish these types of people would just learn that no matter what they do, they’ll always just be a cog in the machine.

icon_smile_agree.gif . @furryfrog02 is a member. They (in my opinon) can't single him out. If they need additional revenue, they can make all new members pay the 7% fee. Make sure that financial institution knows @furryfrog02 is "not" a business.

@furryfrog02- Tell that employee that you and him are getting ready to go see "his" supervisor!......and if that doesn't work, you'll be seeing his supervisors supervisor!

However, like @furryfrog02 said.... maybe he can work out a mutual deal to cut back a little. You can always catch more flies with honey then you can with vinegar.

This is a new-ish policy at Wells Fargo for business accounts that apparently no one knows about. I've stopped ordering coins from them because of it. I didn't think it affects personal accounts but the local branches may have the option to impose on high use members.
