Acetone..oops!

    When you're all done, I sure hope you flush that sink drain with water for 5 or 10 minutes. If any acetone fumes sit in the drains of your house and evaporate - if they hit the pilot light on your hot water heater or furnace - just might go BOOM !

    Yes....the drain was flushed with alot of water after that. I'm not one to want to find out how loud that BOOM would be :D

    Um, remember how we use acetone to get rid of PVC residue? It will also eat through the PVC pipes commonly used in hosehold plumbing.

    Probably not a good idea to flush it down the sink unless it's heavily diluted.

    Me, I feed it to the weeds in my lawn...
