I didn't really buy these for the "bullion" but more for the artwork. That being said, there is a whopping 1/250oz of gold in the 5 Goldbacks and 1/1000oz of gold in the 1 Goldback. Let's see some other unconventional "bullion" if you have them :)

Pretty cool notes. First of these I've seen, I also like the artwork on older currency.

Looks like 1/200 ounce to me? Hey, $7.50 is $7.50... :)

Whoops. You’re right. Dunno how I biffed that....
Either way, I didn’t pay much over the melt value of the gold so I am happy with them.

They have $10 and $50 notes as well. I may eventually get those to round out the set.

I bought a batch of gold infused notes at a show in the fall for gag gifts for my friends. They contain some infinitesimal fraction of gold but the portrait is of a current controversial figure so I’ll refrain from posting an image. They were a hit at Christmas though.

So, the only way these can be worth anything is to place a stack of a couple thousand of these notes into a crucible, and burn off the paper to get the gold melt value? :D

From what I understand, they are an “alternate” currency. Some stores in Utah accept them along with US cash.

Lol I wore my socks of the certain figure, ugly sweater party too. Yuuuge hit! Of course I’m guessing who it is, but I’m fairly sure I’m right.

For some reason, a particular fruit from Georgia and an old Colt single-action army pistol come to mind.
Or is it Billy Dee Williams in a beer commercial?

The old BEP souvenir cards of plate prints are an affordable way to collect some beautiful old currency images at a fraction of the cost of the 'real deals' - they also make great gifts for youngsters to get them interested in US history and numismatics as well ;)
