hello all this is what I found this week in my $1,000 half dollar roll hunt no silver booo but I think I found a few NO FG and a double clipped plz let me know what you think if they are NO FG or not and if you all think this is a true double clipped coin 1 coin 2 coin 3 coin 4 coin 5 coin 6
and one more coin was told in CT coin error's that this is a die break by the A&M o and that the roller damage makes this coin face value but this is all that I found this week
I'm taking @Islander80-83 word because I don't specialize in errors. That's interesting though. What did the clip look like in the roll?
The only years I'm aware of missing the designer's initials are the 1966 SMS, the 1972-D and the 1982-P. Chris
I'm not an expert either. The only reason I'm saying it looks legit is because it looks a lot like mine. I have no idea what a clip looks like in a roll. Never found one. I would imagine the roll would have a indentation in it. If, in fact the coin rolling machine would actually roll it?!?
nothing odd form the roll did not see and indentation in the paper it's like it's was just there in my hand when I looked at the edges of the coin's as most do to check for silver it did not stand out or it was not showing the clipped part of it the coin was in the middle of the roll I do know that
I think you will get more replies from the experts if you posted the double clip Kennedy half by itself on the Error coins forum. Coins 4, 5, and 6 look like the FG is missing. The other ones there appears to be bits of the initials showing. Just my opinion.
Coin 1 is not a no FG.... If you can see any of it, it does not count. I can see some. From another thread "There can be no trace of the initials. Extremely weak initials just wont cut it." https://www.cointalk.com/threads/clarification-for-no-fg-kennedy-half-dollars.129755/
As far as your other ones, maybe, but I cannot tell from the photos. Look closer to see if they are basically grease filled... Those are not no fg.
