I'm about 2/3rds gold and 1/3rd silver. I was interested in platinum group metals for awhile but decided not to buy any. What percentage of each is in your "stack?"
I personally have not added in any other metals and am right around 50/50 gold/silver at the current USD evaluation.
I guess I'm around 20% gold and 80% silver, hoping I can sell in Jan of 2021 for $1900+/$25+ per ounce, but the wait could be longer.
A chart going back 10 years is relevant. Most of us will not live long enough to take advantage of a 100 year investment in PMs. . .
PMs, IMHO, should be a small hedge to the rest of your investments and not the whole enchilada. How much? Many advisers put a cap of 10 percent on it. I suppose it’s a matter of personal comfort.
In dollar terms, of near bullion value coins, I would say I am around 50-20-30 AU-AR-PT. I just bought about 5 ounces of PT proof eagles recently. I haven't added to AR for quite a while, I am out of room.
Yeah, been busy. I have been buying, just some more odd stuff for me. I think I have bought 10 colonial notes, (6 of them printed by B Franklin), some interesting us gold, (no motto $10 and $20, etc), thai medieval etc. Yeah, life sometimes.
My bullion (including circulated 90% silver coinage) stack is 92.5% silver, 7.5% gold, calculated by spot price value. I don't dabble in palladium or platinum.
99% silver, 1% gold. 0 of the other PMs. Of silver, 1% bullion, 99% mostly US and German coinage. Gold is all coinage. One bad thing with coinage: I can't get myself to sell any of it- too attached.
I would have to agree, I haven't bought any silver for years but that's just me, if you like it, stack it. After all, it's your money!
