Regardless of the problems that may exist with this coin, I believe it did sell for more money than a non toner. Maybe $500 over FMV ???
The previous, ugly duckling SAE sold for about 10 x FMV (MS68) for it's color. Also from eBay. I'm starting to see a pattern here. ;)

IMO it looks like the same coin. I'm basing that by the dot on the nose (showing on the proof) directly across from the bottom of the eye. I believe I can still see it on the toned coin. Could also be that I'm suffering from a case of pareidolia. ;)

    $1,250

I don’t like it that much (I’m not saying QC) but I think someone paid up for it.

    It’s NT in my opinion.
However, I think the photo is a bit enhanced and that the coin might be more dull in hand.

A prime example of pics, that hide flaws (-s) while highlighting the colors and other attributes (+s). "Juiced photos."
I will say that they (all but 1) are graded gem or better.
    You had mentioned juiced pics.

I was nice and didn't say anything about the old "Ed Wood" after the fact grading, and price guessing methodology that was applied here. :D
