They look awesome D. I've been out of the loop for awhile. What happened to the broken sword reverses ?
1931 is a fantasy date -- no Peace dollars were produced by the US Mint. So it has the usual Peace dollar reverse, not broken sword. Dan's "Broken Sword" series continued earlier this year with a 1919 date.
Thanks. I should have known this. I did pick up a couple of the first ones. (broken sword) 1PF, and 1hg if I remember correctly. I haven't even looked at those in awhile. Soon to be rectified.
I recently came across these pics, so I’ll post again. The medals were from a very generous 2016 Secret Santa. One is silver, the other copper. They’re beautifully done, and I was shocked when I later saw what they’ve sold for on eBay and the like. I keep them with other medals that I have.
I don't know if he's a philatelist, but he strikes me as the type who wouldn't turn up his nose at the opportunity to buy discount postage. (Old common stamps sell for well below face value.)
The first Dan Carr piece I've seen graded by PCGS. With comments from Dan. Link to CU thread. Look about 1/2 way down the page. https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/comment/12468775#Comment_12468775
As we await the 2019 items. I thought I would try and find 50 mm holder and larger. My normal guy doesn't bother with them any more. I found some. Note no original COA were damaged.
My latest way to display the 50 & 51 MM tokens. 461672 Lighthouse Coin Drawer for 2.5x2.5 Holders & a easel from Hobby Lobby
