Could this be trouble for Mr. Carr ?
What would happen if someone tried to use it as american coinage .
Store calls the police and now the trouble starts ...

I mean, it has "COPY" stamped into Washington's head.
Also, it was used as American coinage...I found it in a customer wrapped roll. It clearly has been spent a few times and made its way to a bank where the bank accepted it also.

I've had issues at the post office, with presidential dollars .
    They wouldn't except them .
    Why ? I have no ideal ....

I've gotten some weird looks when trying to offload Ikes and halves as well.

Now that's were I would call the police. The United States Post Office "not" excepting American currency??

@furryfrog02- I'm wondering if your Daniel Carr was thrown into circulation in support of the Great American Coin Hunt.

It's a possibility I guess. Wasn't that a month or so ago? These were fresh wrapped coins from the bank for this last week. And it's definitely seen some circulation. My thoughts are that it has been working it's way around the system for awhile. People have been passing around a .999 silver token for 25 cents :)

Compare his fantasy piece with the real D.C. quarter of 2009:

On Carrs' piece, the motto is 'Justice To All' and the 'D.C.' might actually stand for 'Daniel Carr'

They WERE EXcepting those coins by not ACcepting them - spelling has meaning(s) :D

So Rick and I were both wrong. The Post Office would not "ACcept" them.

Congratulations on your finds- both the “W” and Daniel Carr piece.
Rarely has it happened after 1969 that silver coinage was passed around at face value.

Also, I’ve been wondering how your $1000 turned out to be $900.
Are you at liberty to tell? :)

Oh, I went in to make a deposit as they were bagging up their CWRs to give to Loomis. The guy behind the counter knows me and asked if I wanted to buy any. I said sure and he gave me the bag he had just sealed up. I gave $1000 for a $1000 bag. Got home and unwrapped it all and realized there was only $900 in the bag. I went back and told the manager and she did the eye roll and was like yeah ok we will investigate and call you later. No call Thursday. I went back yesterday and talked to them again and made sure they refunded my money.
