I picked up a 2018 reverse proof set and one of the quarters looks to have a lamination error on George's face, I'll post a picture of a normal and the different looking one.
I see nothing but improper lighting. Perhaps others, with more experience will chime in. But I will say this.....Proofs from the US mint are almost perfect. You need more convincing photogs......

ITs the limited silver reverse proof set. I cant tell what happened. I have to agree with Razz, it looks like someone put a thumb print on the silver before it went into the case. oils, acid, from hand or something had negative effect?
A Reverse Proof is just the opposite of a regular proof. The devices have a mirror finish and the fields are cameo. Chris
Maybe your photos would come out better in natural light without the flash or whatever that light is.
